Data Security & Report Generation

An example of a report generated using the MLA Study Manager systemAll information generated during the course of creating and conducting a study is sent directly to a secure, independent Oracle database. Oracle was chosen for its ability to handle large amounts of complex data and due to its universal acceptance within the industry.

The information stored in the database is accessible using industry standard tools such as Crystal Reports or those built into Microsoft Office applications. This provides a mechanism for extracting data independently of the program for custom report building or for historical positive and negative control data.

The MLA Study Manager allows the user to browse through a hierarchical view of each element of a study or experiment in order to request automatically generated customisable Microsoft Word reports. These reports are password protected for extra data security.

The program includes a special mechanism which has been developed to make it easy for laboratories to develop their own customised Word reports, or for Perceptive Instruments to develop them to meet the exact reporting formats required. In fact, any data stored in the Oracle database can be accessed to generate Word reports during the course of running a study.
