User
Administration
The System Access Manager controls access to the MLA Study
Manager using an Oracle database to securely hold all information.
This allows the network administrator to assign access levels for
each individual.
As
well as the controlling System Administrator role, there are four
configurable access levels available: Users, Advanced Users,
Study Directors and Auditors. Individual personnel are assigned
specific login time outs, password validity etc. The System Access Manager is designed to comply with the FDA
21 CFR Part 11 Final rule on Electronic Records & Electronic
Signatures.
A Setup Users dialog within the MLA
Study Manager, available only to System Administrators, can be used
to configure the access rights of each user level to different areas
of the program. Each access right can be enabled,
disabled or made read-only.
An example setup might be to only allow Users to enter data in the
Plate Counts & Data Entry window, whilst Advanced Users can
also create experiments, edit control data etc.
