You can request more information on the new release here.
New Features Include...
Improved image resolution
Sorcerer v3.0 now comes as standard with a new high resolution FireWire camera capable of detecting and measuring colonies with diameters as small as 80 microns.
The new camera allows more accurate shape discrimination and object separation while retaining the live video display that allows rapid throughput of samples.
Where particular applications call for a specific feature set, Sorcerer can connect to a wide range of the latest state of the art digital cameras using IEEE1394 (FireWire)
or GigE (Gigabit Ethernet) protocols.

New Auditing and Security Features
Sorcerer v3.0 has been developed with reference to a wide range of regulatory guidelines and is designed to be fully compliant with Good Laboratory Practice standards as set down by the OECD.
Reason prompts can be presented to the user when they want to edit or delete a measurement or clear unsaved data.
Reasons given are recorded in the audit trail along with measurement data and all other session information. Configurable heading entries can be used to
prompt users for sample information prior to measurements. Audit trails can be saved to file or stored within an Oracle database.

New Commands extend powerful macro language
You can build a sequence of powerful image processing functions to extract the measurement information needed for a specific application.
The system configuration can be saved so that Sorcerer can tackle a range of different applications by simply recalling the appropriate configuration.
For complex applications Perceptive Instruments can supply custom image measurement and processing functions that can easily be incorporated, meaning that
there is now an unlimited number of possibilities for current and future uses in microbiology and materials science research.

Enhanced image editing functions
A range of new image editing and measurement frames to define the region of interest are available in Sorcerer v3.0.
Custom measurement frames can now be saved for reuse - this is useful for situations in which a certain area, such as a moulding mark on a Petri-dish, needs to be excluded in multiple measurements.
