Sorcerer automatic colony counter Perceptive Instruments is a leading supplier of automatic colony counters for microbiological laboratories. Our systems are used throughout the world for plaque counts, traditional pour and spread plate counts, spiral plates, Petri-film, and other culture techniques.

The first of many colony counting systems was sold in 1990 to a milk testing laboratory. Since then we have fulfilled our many customer's colony counting needs with Domino and the next generation Cardinal system. Building upon this success is the Sorcerer automatic colony counter, which features a state-of-the-art Petri-viewer and a host of innovative features.

SorcererTM is the latest in a highly successful series of colony counting systems from Perceptive Instruments. It combines sophisticated image processing and analysis with an innovative Petri-viewer to provide fast, accurate counts of bacterial and mammalian colonies for a wide range of applications.

Sorcerer is ideal for laboratories engaged in drug development and production, food and milk testing, environmental monitoring and public health.

With full audit trails and multiple access levels, Sorcerer is designed to be fully compliant with Good Laboratory Practice and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 Final Rule on Electronic Records and Electronic Signature.
